Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp (2,980m)

- Elevation: 1,000m ascent
- Trekking Time: 5-7 hours
After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate, where your trek begins. Hike through the lush rainforest to Machame Camp, where you’ll rest for the night.
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,850m)
- Habitat: Moorland
- Distance: 5 km
- Elevation: 870m ascent
- Trekking Time: 4-6 hours
Trek through moorland to reach Shira Camp, located at the base of the Shira Plateau. Enjoy stunning views of the mountain as you ascend.
Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m)
- Habitat: Moorland and Alpine Desert
- Distance: 10 km
- Elevation: 110m ascent
- Trekking Time: 6-8 hours
Hike across the plateau and up to the Barranco Wall, a famous feature of the route. Continue on to Barranco Camp for your overnight stay.
Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,035m)

- Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
Trek through alpine desert terrain, navigating the Barranco Wall and arriving at Karanga Camp, where you’ll rest and acclimatize.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,640m)

- Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Spend the night resting and preparing for the final push to the summit.
Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), then Mweka Camp (3,100m)
- Habitat: Arctic/Alpine Desert
- Distance: 6 km to the summit, 13 km descent
- Elevation: 1,255m ascent, 2,795m descent
- Trekking Time: 12-15 hours
Start your summit attempt early in the morning. Ascend through the night to reach Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. After celebrating, descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,640m)
- Habitat: Rainforest
- Distance: 10 km
- Elevation: 1,460m descent
- Trekking Time: 3-4 hours
Descend to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. Afterward, transfer back to Arusha for your celebratory dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Departure
- Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home or continue with other travel plans.
