6 Day Safari Itinerary: Arusha Tarangire Lake Manyara Ngorongoro Serengeti Zanzibar
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire
Just after breakfast, leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for its marvelous baobab trees, rolling savannah, and acacia woodland. See the Tarangire River which crosses the park and is vital to its flora and fauna. Have lunch at a picnic site in the park, continue the game drive, and later transfer to your accommodation.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
Explore Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse habitats—from the rift valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The park is famous for tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and abundant wildlife. Enjoy lunch inside the park and return to your accommodation afterward.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early with packed lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full-day crater tour. View the Big Five and other wildlife while enjoying a game drive. Stop for lunch at a scenic spot on the crater floor, then continue with wildlife viewing before driving back to your accommodation.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park (South)
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Gate. Have picnic lunch en route. Enjoy a game drive in the southern Serengeti, where there’s a high chance of spotting the wildebeest migration. Overnight at your accommodation in the southern Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Central)
Safari continues towards the central Serengeti. Optional early morning game drive to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and possibly the wildebeest migration. Spend the day exploring the central Serengeti before staying overnight at your accommodation.
Day 6: Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, drive to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. End of safari in Tanzania.
