Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Arrive from Zanzibar around 9:00 AM and drive directly to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Known for its ancient baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and acacia woodlands, Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s largest elephant populations. The life-giving Tarangire River draws a wide variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and continue exploring in the afternoon before heading to your evening rest.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart with packed lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This world-famous caldera is a haven for wildlife and offers a unique ecosystem where animals thrive year-round. Spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hyenas, jackals, ostriches, and the rare black rhino. The views from the rim and the game viewing on the crater floor are both extraordinary. Enjoy lunch beside a peaceful crater lake before returning for the evening.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Visit Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park known for its beautiful setting beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore the park’s lush forests, open plains, and soda lake. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, baboons, and vibrant birdlife, including flamingos. After a picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha for dinner or proceed directly to the airport, depending on your flight schedule.
